Tollembeek's Edgard Diependaele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Tollembeek from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the match, Tollembeek's goalkeeper Edgard Diependaele had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phillipe Van Hoyveldt in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Diependaele saved Tollembeek from getting behind. In the 20th minute, Jasper Saelens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nic Christiaens took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lars Van Geertruyen. Lars Van Geertruyen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 31 minutes, Phillipe Van Hoyveldt made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Tollembeek's Edgard Diependaele tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Edgard Diependaele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phillipe Van Hoyveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Edgard Diependaele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DrughiGenk. 44 minutes into the match, Tollembeek's goalkeeper Edgard Diependaele had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden got free with Edgard Diependaele in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 53rd minute of the match Wilhelm Ulbo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgard Diependaele skillfully saved the ball. Edgard Diependaele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilian da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgard Diependaele. Tollembeek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Alek De Geyters short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Lars Van Geertruyen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jaques Raedemaeckers hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Tollembeek's Edgard Diependaele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden in the 71st minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Phillipe Van Hoyveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tollembeek's Edgard Diependaele was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Diego Walder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Diependaele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Phillipe Van Hoyveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Diependaele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard Diependaele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard Diependaele prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alek De Geyter came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lars Van Geertruyen could save by the left post. In the 92nd minute, Phillipe Van Hoyveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgard Diependaele was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
