Fredrik Meeuwissen came out and tried to block the shot, but Eddy Theunis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. When Matthias Van Der Elst came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the FC Zandvoorde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias Van Der Elst couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in KV Tongrinne's zone, Victor Du Bois stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enzo Bormans came out of the goal and Victor Du Bois tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Matthias Van Der Elst came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the FC Zandvoorde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias Van Der Elst couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Gilian Descamps shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Meeuwissen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes FC Zandvoorde got a freekick which was hit by Marnix Roofhoof. Fredrik Meeuwissen made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Jilian Buyck sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matthias Van Der Elst in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enzo Bormans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fredrik Meeuwissen made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Jilian Buyck sent off a good shot on target. 42 minutes into the match, KV Tongrinne's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Van Der Elst came free, but Enzo Bormans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fredrik Meeuwissen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddy Theunis, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Eddy Theunis had several of the FC Zandvoorde's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 48 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Fredrik Meeuwissen as he didn't even see the shot coming. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, KV Tongrinne's Gilian Descamps got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Anthonio Soetemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jilian Buyck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Meeuwissen having to interfere. The supporters of KV Tongrinne booed when FC Zandvoorde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Du Bois didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fredrik Meeuwissen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KV Tongrinne. In the 77th match minute, FC Zandvoorde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Du Bois to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Brecht Van De Putts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jilian Buyck in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Zandvoorde's goalkeeper Fredrik Meeuwissen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fredrik Meeuwissen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Theunis in the 84th minute of play. Enzo Bormans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthias Van Der Elst, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Enzo Bormans was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Guillaume Kustermans. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Matthias Van Der Elst managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Zandvoorde's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthias Van Der Elst was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enzo Bormans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Zandvoorde's Fredrik Meeuwissen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Theunis in the 96th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. KV Tongrinne were victorious despite being under pressure from FC Zandvoorde for much of the match.
