A sloppy throw-in by Jarne Verelst in the 14th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AFC Madzuly's Klaas Van Achter. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiaan De Cock in the 17th minute of play forced AFC Madzuly's goalkeeper Jorre Vercouteren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Hoeselt booed when AFC Madzuly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stein Dhondt didn't get a good kick on the ball. A long shot from Stanny Mouton in the 20th minute of play was well struck, but Jorre Vercouteren made a really good save at the right post. AFC Madzuly's Jorre Vercouteren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Madzuly from getting a goal against them. Jorre Vercouteren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiaan De Cock in the 32nd minute of the match. Jorre Vercouteren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnold Marchal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marnix Voorhof in the 41st minute of play forced AFC Madzuly's goalkeeper Jorre Vercouteren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorre Vercouteren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold Marchal in the 45th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stan Roeckeloes during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marnix Voorhof in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorre Vercouteren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute Christiaan De Cock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorre Vercouteren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christiaan De Cock couldn't finish the play. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Hoeselt reached it. Club Hoeselt walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
