The throw-in from Youri Goffyn in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AFC Madzuly's Harrie Debruyn. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some careless play in the AFC Madzuly defense, Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorre Vercouteren. The AFC Madzuly fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorre Vercouteren should have stopped the shot. After 64 minutes AFC Madzuly's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Arthur-Maurits Van De Wijngaert heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of ZVC Wellen booed when AFC Madzuly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amaury Jooris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klaas Van Achter charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klaas Van Achter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes AFC Madzuly got a freekick which was hit by Klaas Van Achter. 74 minutes into the match, AFC Madzuly's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Nijs came free, but Jorre Vercouteren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AFC Madzuly's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek scored to the left of an out of position Jorre Vercouteren, making the score, 0-6. After 80 played minutes AFC Madzuly got a freekick which was hit by Harrie Debruyn. In the 88th minute Abel de Nijs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorre Vercouteren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorre Vercouteren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel de Nijs, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The AFC Madzuly fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ZVC Wellen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
