Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jacques Ombelets started the match with the kick off. Jorre Van de Wal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Gilliam De Deygere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute Jacques Ombelets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Nalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Knokke-Heist's Alonzo Nalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose De Haes in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Knokke-Heist booed when RSC Loenhout was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose De Haes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Knokke-Heist's goal looked a bit too open when Guillaume Cesters came free, but Alonzo Nalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alonzo Nalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillaume Cesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matt Tael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gilliam De Deygere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Lenaerts charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven Lenaerts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Knokke-Heist getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Sven Lenaerts hit a great ball. Alonzo Nalo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Willy Maerschalcx in the 21st minute. Gilliam De Deygere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matt Tael in the 22nd minute of the match. Alonzo Nalo made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Julius Denys sent off a good shot on target. Matt Tael might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilliam De Deygere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matt Tael ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Jorre Van de Wal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilliam De Deygere was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. If Jorre Van de Wal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorre Van de Wal might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilliam De Deygere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorre Van de Wal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute, Jorre Van de Wal made a precise shot to the right of Gilliam De Deygere. RSC Loenhout's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 38th minute, Matt Tael ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilliam De Deygere was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Gilliam De Deygere stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorre Van de Wal's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute.

If Julius Denys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorre Van de Wal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Thomas Dhondt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alonzo Nalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacques Ombelets in the 61st minute of play. If Matt Tael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matt Tael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in RSC Loenhout's zone, Jorre Van de Wal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilliam De Deygere came out of the goal and Jorre Van de Wal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Matt Tael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knokke-Heist's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matt Tael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorre Van de Wal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, RSC Loenhout's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Tael came free, but Gilliam De Deygere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in RSC Loenhout's zone, Matt Tael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilliam De Deygere came out of the goal and Matt Tael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilliam De Deygere came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Knokke-Heist's Jorre Van de Wal. But to his dismay, Jorre Van de Wal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Knokke-Heist's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
