Ricardo van Beek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute, Miguel Lannoye hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oswald Van Der Meren to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Verhaert in the 81st minute of play forced Speurdonk's goalkeeper Ricardo van Beek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Forza Omar Los Diabolos's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
