Spectators: 7873 (Terracing: 6007, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 25) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek made the kick off which started today's match. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Jorre Van de Wal sped through ZVC Wellen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of William Hostens. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Knokke-Heist's goalkeeper Alonzo Nalo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benne Tuytgans struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Alonzo Nalo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ZVC Wellen. After 29 minutes, Johny Van Eersel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZVC Wellen and the Knokke-Heist players grew even worse after the yellow card. Johny Van Eersel kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Matt Tael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. William Hostens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zbyszek Kasperowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th match minute, ZVC Wellen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ken Van Hautvinck to maneuver through the defense. Knokke-Heist's Jorre Van de Wal got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Knokke-Heist got a freekick which was hit by Jens Van Der Linden. After 39 played minutes ZVC Wellen got a freekick which was hit by Will Carels. If Benne Tuytgans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alonzo Nalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute ZVC Wellen were awarded a corner. Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led ZVC Wellen's Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek to fire away a dangerous shot which Alonzo Nalo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

In the 56th minute, Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Knokke-Heist's Matt Tael in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ZVC Wellen's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Knokke-Heist getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Sven Lenaerts hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek saw that he had a good position to shoot and he shot a long ball on target, but the ball went just outside the left post. ZVC Wellen's William Hostens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorre Van de Wal in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ZVC Wellen's Bartjan Slegers got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 72 played minutes, Knokke-Heist's Sven Lenaerts shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper William Hostens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Knokke-Heist reached it. When Knokke-Heist's Jorre Van de Wal in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ZVC Wellen's goalie prevented a goal. If Benne Tuytgans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jens Van Der Linden kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Alonzo Nalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benne Tuytgans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 played minutes ZVC Wellen got a freekick which was hit by Benne Tuytgans. When Rocky Verdonk fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ZVC Wellen's protests and gave Rocky Verdonk a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes ZVC Wellen got a freekick which was hit by Rocky Verdonk. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorre Van de Wal in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck William Hostens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Despite being the better team, ZVC Wellen failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
