Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Denis Van Haechten took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Berten Vervaeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Kortens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KVSK Viersel's Douglas Kortens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berten Vervaeck in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to KVSK Viersel getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Werner Van Hole hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Douglas Kortens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berten Vervaeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute.
