An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerome Goovaers in the 8th minute of play forced FC meert's goalkeeper Luckas Van Lier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thierry Pijps hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Reinaud Rijmenans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luckas Van Lier having to interfere. When Benne Huveneers fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rema United's protests and gave Benne Huveneers a yellow card for diving instead. Benne Huveneers kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Cederik Le Page struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Karel Jannes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC meert. Joseph De Meyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Karel Jannes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rema United's Karel Jannes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richey Suteweij in the 20th minute of play. Richey Suteweij received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Karel Jannes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rema United's Karel Jannes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cederik Le Page in the 23rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frederick Gallot during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute, Frederick Gallot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cederik Le Page recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karel Jannes came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by FC meert's Cederik Le Page. But to his dismay, Cederik Le Page quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederick Gallot got free with Luckas Van Lier in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Richey Suteweij had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richey Suteweij's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karel Jannes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Cederik Le Page shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karel Jannes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 52 minutes, Jerome Goovaers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rema United and the FC meert players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, Rema United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerome Goovaers to maneuver through the defense. Max Goovaerts struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Karel Jannes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC meert. After having played for 59 minutes, Richey Suteweij managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC meert's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richey Suteweij was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luckas Van Lier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerome Goovaers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karel Jannes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cederik Le Page in the 65th minute. Joseph De Meyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karel Jannes having to interfere. Luckas Van Lier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerome Goovaers in the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rema United's zone, Cederik Le Page stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karel Jannes came out of the goal and Cederik Le Page tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karel Jannes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richey Suteweij in the 79th minute of the match. Cederik Le Page fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karel Jannes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC meert's Richey Suteweij got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Benne Huveneers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC meert's Richey Suteweij got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karel Jannes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Goovaerts in the 91st minute of play.
