Spectators: 5828 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 0) Joop Eggers started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the match, Facabora's goalkeeper Didier Van Landschoot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joop Eggers. After a defensive mix-up in Facabora's zone, Robbe Smidts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Didier Van Landschoot came out of the goal and Robbe Smidts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Facabora's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Richy Van Bettenrode scored to the left of an out of position Didier Van Landschoot, making the score, 1-0. Facabora's attentive Sander Schoolmeesters managed to snatch the ball when Matthy Degraef made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. Facabora's Didier Van Landschoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthy Degraef in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Robbe Smidts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Didier Van Landschoot was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Didier Van Landschoot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robbe Smidts in the 25th minute. Richy Van Bettenrode took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Didier Van Landschoot. Didier Van Landschoot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Willy Vandommele hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Didier Van Landschoot made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Richy Van Bettenrode sent off a good shot on target. A sloppy throw-in by Niels Theijs in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Facabora's Teo Van den Bossche. With a little luck, Facabora's Didier Van Landschoot got control of the ball when Robbe Smidts tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthy Degraef in the 39th minute of play forced Facabora's goalkeeper Didier Van Landschoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Richy Van Bettenrode shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didier Van Landschoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Harry Heijligen made the kick off in the second half. Didier Van Landschoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbe Smidts in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Facabora's goal looked a bit too open when Robbe Smidts came free, but Didier Van Landschoot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Facabora getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Kim De Weijgaert hit a great ball. Didier Van Landschoot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthy Degraef, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Didier Van Landschoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joop Eggers in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the Facabora defense, Robbe Smidts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Didier Van Landschoot. The Facabora fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Didier Van Landschoot should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joop Eggers in the 76th minute of play forced Facabora's goalkeeper Didier Van Landschoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richy Van Bettenrode in the 81st minute of play forced Facabora's goalkeeper Didier Van Landschoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 minutes of play, schoten's Robbe Smidts made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Didier Van Landschoot was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the match, Robbe Smidts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Didier Van Landschoot. Facabora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robbe Smidts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. In the 93rd minute, Robbe Smidts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The schoten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0.
