After having played for 6 minutes, Robin Verduyckt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCS Pekmere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Verduyckt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karel Jannes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Verduyckt in the 10th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Robin Verduyckt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Karel Jannes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gery Schouters charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gery Schouters the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Rema United got a freekick which was hit by Gery Schouters. Diedrik De Messemaeckre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karel Jannes having to interfere. Karel Jannes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Verduyckt in the 23rd minute of the match. Rema United's Karel Jannes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Verduyckt in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rema United's Laurend Van Eersel got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Renzo Impens fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rema United's protests and gave Renzo Impens a yellow card for diving instead. When Diedrik De Messemaeckre came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the FCS Pekmere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diedrik De Messemaeckre couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute Robin Verduyckt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karel Jannes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stan Koten hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Diedrik De Messemaeckre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Karel Jannes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karel Jannes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diedrik De Messemaeckre, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robin Verduyckt made a kick off. During the 50th minute of the match Gery Schouters completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gery Schouters a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of FCS Pekmere booed when Rema United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gery Schouters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karel Jannes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jesse Cockx went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. FCS Pekmere's Laurent Schoenmakers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerome Goovaers in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Robrecht Van Casteren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diedrik De Messemaeckre who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Karel Jannes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rema United's Jerome Goovaers took a good shot, in the 70th minute, which hit the crossbar above Laurent Schoenmakers's head, and flew over the goal. FCS Pekmere's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Rema United. Jerome Goovaers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FCS Pekmere's Didier Lefevre got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 78 minutes in the game, Robin Verduyckt fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Karel Jannes having to interfere. Rema United's Karel Jannes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Rema United from getting a goal against them. After 82 minutes, Didier Lefevre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FCS Pekmere and the Rema United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Didier Lefevre kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Diedrik De Messemaeckre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Karel Jannes made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Verduyckt in the 88th minute of play forced Rema United's goalkeeper Karel Jannes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Rema United getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Laurend Van Eersel hit a great ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Robin Verduyckt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCS Pekmere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Verduyckt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karel Jannes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Verduyckt in the 95th minute of play. FCS Pekmere played a much better game than Rema United and deserved their victory. The Rema United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
