Spectators: 7969 (Terracing: 5978, Seating: 1833, VIP seats: 158) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronald Justens started the match with the kick off. Joseph De Meyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 4thth minute of the game Richey Suteweij who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KVSK Viersel's Douglas Kortens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. KVSK Viersel's Douglas Kortens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save KVSK Viersel from getting a goal against them. Luckas Van Lier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Justens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Cederik Le Page sped through KVSK Viersel's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Douglas Kortens. Douglas Kortens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richey Suteweij, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Cederik Le Page who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Douglas Kortens when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, KVSK Viersel's goal looked a bit too open when Richey Suteweij came free, but Douglas Kortens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, KVSK Viersel's goalkeeper Douglas Kortens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cederik Le Page. Douglas Kortens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richey Suteweij in the 29th minute of play. Douglas Kortens made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Richey Suteweij sent off a good shot on target. Max Goovaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Kortens having to interfere. Richey Suteweij received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Douglas Kortens came out and tried to block the shot, but Richey Suteweij slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 38th minute. A collision led to KVSK Viersel getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jean Deroek hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Richey Suteweij made a kick off. Cederik Le Page sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cederik Le Page in the 56th minute of play forced KVSK Viersel's goalkeeper Douglas Kortens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th match minute, KVSK Viersel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Deroek to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in KVSK Viersel's zone, Cederik Le Page stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Kortens came out of the goal and Cederik Le Page tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Max Goovaerts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Douglas Kortens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matijs Lambrecht went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Cederik Le Page managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC meert's supporters rose to their feet, but Cederik Le Page was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Kortens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC meert's Luckas Van Lier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luk Godefroid in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, KVSK Viersel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quentin De Hondt to maneuver through the defense. Cederik Le Page received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Douglas Kortens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cederik Le Page in the 77th minute of play forced KVSK Viersel's goalkeeper Douglas Kortens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Max Goovaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Kortens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joseph De Meyer came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the FC meert fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joseph De Meyer couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Ronald Justens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Max Goovaerts took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Douglas Kortens. Douglas Kortens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. If Cederik Le Page had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph De Meyer in the 92nd minute of play forced KVSK Viersel's goalkeeper Douglas Kortens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joseph De Meyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Richey Suteweij fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Kortens having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Joseph De Meyer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC meert's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseph De Meyer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the FC meert players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
