The audience thought a goal was coming when Evert Goddez got free with Bastiaan Campens in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bastiaan Campens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias de Pelsmaecker, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Bastiaan Campens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathieu Meijers in the 13th minute. Bastiaan Campens was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Mathieu Meijers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mathieu Meijers really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomm Coenen to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ukrainian Snipers's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias de Pelsmaecker came free, but Bastiaan Campens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bastiaan Campens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathieu Meijers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bastiaan Campens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathieu Meijers went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Matthieu Van den Paenhuysen kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Buitre SC's goalkeeper Bastiaan Callens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeff Wiechgers. In the 84th minute, Mathieu Meijers made a precise shot to the right of Bastiaan Campens. Ukrainian Snipers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. In the 87th minute Tomm Coenen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastiaan Callens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 minutes of play, Buitre SC's Mathieu Meijers made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bastiaan Campens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bastiaan Campens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias de Pelsmaecker in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Buitre SC fully deserved thier win.
