The throw-in from Leopold Rombouts in the 11th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Facabora's Sander Schoolmeesters. The supporters of FuglyMugs booed when Facabora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christofere De Vleeschauwer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Facabora's Didier Van Landschoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Van De Velden in the 16th minute of play. Jacob Van De Velden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didier Van Landschoot having to interfere. Didier Van Landschoot came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by FuglyMugs's Kent De Marrez. But to his dismay, Kent De Marrez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Didier Van Landschoot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Van De Velden in the 29th minute of the match. Tomas Celis's late challenge caught a Facabora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Celis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Tomas Celis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Didier Van Landschoot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Van De Velden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Facabora getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Willy Vandommele hit a great ball. Didier Van Landschoot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Van De Velden, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Teo Van den Bossche fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Facabora's protests and gave Teo Van den Bossche a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute Kent De Marrez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didier Van Landschoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot by Claus Pauwels from long distance, 68 minutes into the match, got Didier Van Landschoot's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Christofere De Vleeschauwer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steffen Verhaeghen having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Facabora's Christofere De Vleeschauwer got a free kick in the 77th minute. Didier Van Landschoot made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Jacob Van De Velden sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacob Van De Velden got free with Didier Van Landschoot in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Didier Van Landschoot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Celis in the 88th minute of the match. Tomas Celis took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Didier Van Landschoot. Didier Van Landschoot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. With a little luck, Facabora's Didier Van Landschoot got control of the ball when Jacob Van De Velden tried to sneak it across the goal line. Didier Van Landschoot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent De Marrez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kent De Marrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kent De Marrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FuglyMugs played a much better game than Facabora and deserved their victory. The Facabora players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
