In the 3rd minute, Ronald Justens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karel Jannes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pascal Dumont went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Ronald Justens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Rema United defense, Pascal Dumont kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karel Jannes. The Rema United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karel Jannes should have stopped the shot. Werner Van Hole kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Frederick Gallot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rema United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Karel Jannes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Justens in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, KVSK Viersel's Ronald Van Leemputt seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ronald Van Leemputt the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of KVSK Viersel protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ronald Van Leemputt had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of KVSK Viersel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rema United:s goal. The audience was convinced that Jerome Goovaers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Kortens was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Rema United's Karel Jannes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Rema United from getting a goal against them. In the 41st match minute, Rema United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gery Schouters to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pascal Dumont to make the kick off. With a little luck, KVSK Viersel's Douglas Kortens got control of the ball when Jerome Goovaers tried to sneak it across the goal line. A well done corner resulted in Jerome Goovaers drilling the ball in to score 2-3 behind KVSK Viersel's goalkeeper. If Pascal Dumont had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Pascal Dumont cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Karel Jannes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Karel Jannes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascal Dumont in the 67th minute of the match. Douglas Kortens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerome Goovaers in the 68th minute. 84 minutes into the match, KVSK Viersel's goalkeeper Douglas Kortens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerome Goovaers. Karel Jannes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascal Dumont, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
