The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steffen Verhaeghen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robrecht Van Casteren got free with Steffen Verhaeghen in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arne Emeleers hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, FCS Pekmere's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Van De Velden came free, but Laurent Schoenmakers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FCS Pekmere's Laurent Schoenmakers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claus Pauwels in the 21st minute of play. Laurent Schoenmakers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Van De Velden, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, FuglyMugs's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Verduyckt came free, but Steffen Verhaeghen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Tomas Celis put in a rough tackle. In the 33rd minute Kent De Marrez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurent Schoenmakers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dyllen Campens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Laurent Schoenmakers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kent De Marrez struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Laurent Schoenmakers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FuglyMugs. After having played for 45 minutes, Diedrik De Messemaeckre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCS Pekmere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diedrik De Messemaeckre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claus Pauwels's late challenge caught a FCS Pekmere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claus Pauwels helped the player get up and apologised. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kent De Marrez to make the kick off. FuglyMugs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 2-1 became the score in the 66th minute when Claus Pauwels elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diedrik De Messemaeckre in the 71st minute of play forced FuglyMugs's goalkeeper Steffen Verhaeghen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steffen Verhaeghen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Verduyckt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steffen Verhaeghen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Verduyckt in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the FuglyMugs players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FCS Pekmere.
