Karel Jannes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Jerome Goovaers might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jannes Bossuyt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerome Goovaers ran back to his position shaking his head. Karel Jannes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lou Van Linthout in the 28th minute of play. The wind increased when Ive Van Den Broek made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Jerome Goovaers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jannes Bossuyt. Facabora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerome Goovaers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Lou Van Linthout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Karel Jannes made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lou Van Linthout got free with Karel Jannes in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Facabora booed when Rema United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederick Gallot didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Rema United's Stan Koten seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Stan Koten the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rema United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Stan Koten had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 75th minute, Stan Koten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Henry Decaluwe sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rema United's Karel Jannes didn't even have to move. Lou Van Linthout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Didier Van Landschoot's late challenge caught a Rema United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didier Van Landschoot helped the player get up and apologised. Didier Van Landschoot hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Karel Jannes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ive Van Den Broek in the 92nd minute of play. When the match was over Facabora could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rema United throughout the match.
