Spectators: 7953 (Terracing: 5966, Seating: 1829, VIP seats: 158) Joop Rijmenams started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Antonio Van Geertruyen came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by KSV Nieuwpoort's Brent Audenaert. But to his dismay, Brent Audenaert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, KSV Nieuwpoort's goal looked a bit too open when Adam van haeve came free, but Yanniek Correyns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yanniek Correyns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jef Rouvoet's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Richey Neesens took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yanniek Correyns. Yanniek Correyns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 23rd minute, Jef Rouvoet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yanniek Correyns was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. KSV Nieuwpoort's Yanniek Correyns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jef Rouvoet in the 26th minute of play. Antonio Van Geertruyen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joop Rijmenams in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, KSV Nieuwpoort's Joop Rijmenams sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonio Van Geertruyen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Boechout's Antonio Van Geertruyen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Boechout from getting a goal against them. Richey Neesens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Renzo Helsens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jef Rouvoet was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Boechout was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wart Van Balen to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Joop Rijmenams's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Van Geertruyen was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Yanniek Correyns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jef Rouvoet, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Armand Cesters hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joop Rijmenams in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Van Geertruyen saved Boechout from getting behind. The long shot by Yanis Driesen in the 79th minute really tested Yanniek Correyns's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Yanniek Correyns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jef Rouvoet, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, Boechout's Wart Van Balen got a free kick in the 95th minute. Antonio Van Geertruyen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Uijtterhoeven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boechout's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
