Spectators: 8035 (Terracing: 6027, Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Casper Leerbels kicked off to start the match. Loid Voet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luckas Goddez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cederik Davus having to interfere. Soren Van Baerlem's late challenge caught a Wevelgem FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Soren Van Baerlem helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes As got a freekick which was hit by Soren Van Baerlem. As's Cederik Davus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luckas Goddez in the 8th minute of play. Reemy Goegebeur kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Luckas Goddez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but As's Cederik Davus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 14 played minutes As got a freekick which was hit by Soren Van Baerlem. After 16 played minutes As got a freekick which was hit by Soren Van Baerlem. In the 19th match minute, As was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfried Smoors to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Soren Van Baerlem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, As's Charles-Louis Verhaeghen seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Charles-Louis Verhaeghen the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of As protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Charles-Louis Verhaeghen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 28th minute, one of As:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for As. The referee gave Wevelgem FC a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Diego De Graef, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of As's Cederik Davus. 1-0. Willem-Alexander Wilmots in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cederik Davus, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 38 minutes into the match, As's goalkeeper Cederik Davus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willem-Alexander Wilmots. The throw-in from Benoit Jaddon in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by As's Tibau Braeckman. Luk Lanfan charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luk Lanfan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Wevelgem FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Luk Lanfan hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Willem-Alexander Wilmots left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wevelgem FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luckas Goddez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Reemy Goegebeur managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. After 61 played minutes Wevelgem FC got a freekick which was hit by Remco Van Groenderbeek. After a defensive mix-up in Wevelgem FC's zone, Loid Voet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor De Baere came out of the goal and Loid Voet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of As booed when Wevelgem FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luk Lanfan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 66 minutes, Godfried Smoors mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the As and the Wevelgem FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Godfried Smoors kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. As's Cederik Davus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willem-Alexander Wilmots in the 68th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in As fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! 81 minutes into the game, Benoit Jaddon threw the ball into play from the sideline. As's Tibau Braeckman quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Viktor De Baere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reemy Goegebeur in the 82nd minute of the match. Wevelgem FC's Ron Gyselincx managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Reemy Goegebeur in the 84 minute of the game. In the 95th minute, Willem-Alexander Wilmots got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
