In the 13th minute of the match, Benedict Van Huele tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ataol Ayalp saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 15 minutes in the game, Vic De Bruyn fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ataol Ayalp having to interfere. Mickael Ackermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ataol Ayalp having to interfere. Ataol Ayalp didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 18th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Johan De Metser had to leave the field with a concussion. Standaard Meerbeek made a substitution. Anthonio Van Vyve replaced Johan De Metser. After 23 played minutes Red Dwarfs Den FC got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Dejonckheere. Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vic De Bruyn in the 26th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mickael Ackermans got free with Ataol Ayalp in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Standaard Meerbeek booed when Red Dwarfs Den FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pieter-Jan De Raedemaeker to make the kick off. If Vic De Bruyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerry Dejonckheere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Dejonckheere in the 57th minute of play forced Standaard Meerbeek's goalkeeper Ataol Ayalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ataol Ayalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedict Van Huele, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerry Dejonckheere in the 63rd minute of play. Ataol Ayalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mickael Ackermans in the 65th minute of the match.
