In the 9th minute, Marc Klinkenberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yanniek Correyns was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Amedeo Vettori blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yanniek Correyns having to make a save. In the 15th match minute, Tri Owe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piet De Putter to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Joop Rijmenams managed to get in a good position for a shot. KSV Nieuwpoort's supporters rose to their feet, but Joop Rijmenams was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tristan Vinck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amedeo Vettori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yanniek Correyns having to interfere. The supporters of Tri Owe FC booed when KSV Nieuwpoort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renzo Helsens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tri Owe FC's Diederick Van Parijs suffered a sore knee after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 47 minutes, Gust Henrix mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KSV Nieuwpoort and the Tri Owe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 49th match minute, KSV Nieuwpoort was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gust Henrix to maneuver through the defense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joop Rijmenams stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amedeo Vettori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amedeo Vettori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, KSV Nieuwpoort's Yanniek Correyns got control of the ball when Marc Klinkenberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for KSV Nieuwpoort! Ediz Man walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Ediz Man kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Wilfried Jansens kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marc Klinkenberg in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yanniek Correyns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 88 minutes KSV Nieuwpoort's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ediz Man who took care of the corner kick. Tri Owe FC's Tristan Vinck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brent Audenaert in the 90th minute of play. Piet De Putter kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When Tri Owe FC's Marc Klinkenberg in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KSV Nieuwpoort's goalie prevented a goal. When the match was over Tri Owe FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than KSV Nieuwpoort throughout the match.
