After a rather tough play, VVV Vurige Vossen's Adolphe Van Eijcke got a free kick in the 10th minute. VVV Vurige Vossen's Werner Hoes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luckas Goddez in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Wevelgem FC booed when VVV Vurige Vossen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joonatan Lembrechts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viktor De Baere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joonatan Lembrechts in the 29th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes VVV Vurige Vossen got a freekick which was hit by Romain Van Hoeij. 34 minutes into the match, VVV Vurige Vossen's goalkeeper Werner Hoes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willem-Alexander Wilmots. With 36 minutes on the clock, Alexander Van Mellart commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Alexander Van Mellart kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Viktor De Baere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joonatan Lembrechts in the 41st minute of the match. Joonatan Lembrechts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viktor De Baere having to make a save.

Ron Gyselincx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joonatan Lembrechts during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Joonatan Lembrechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jules Struyf fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VVV Vurige Vossen's protests and gave Jules Struyf a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Wevelgem FC's Diego De Graef tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Werner Hoes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luckas Goddez in the 68th minute of play. Jules Struyf kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willem-Alexander Wilmots in the 72nd minute of play forced VVV Vurige Vossen's goalkeeper Werner Hoes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 minutes, Luk Lanfan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wevelgem FC and the VVV Vurige Vossen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luk Lanfan hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the game, VVV Vurige Vossen's Kenneth Petermans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Viktor De Baere made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Jules Struyf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Wevelgem FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
