Norbert Van Beets hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. If Lieven Bossuyt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans De Block fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartjan Van Daelen having to interfere. Mickael Ackermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Raedemaeckers having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Leuven's zone, Vic De Bruyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Raedemaeckers came out of the goal and Vic De Bruyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 played minutes Red Dwarfs Den FC got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Dejonckheere. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Leuven's zone, Vic De Bruyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Raedemaeckers came out of the goal and Vic De Bruyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mickael Ackermans scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferdinand Raedemaeckers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Red Dwarfs Den FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jerry Dejonckheere hit a great ball. Racing Leuven's Ferdinand Raedemaeckers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Racing Leuven from getting a goal against them. Lieven Bossuyt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bartjan Van Daelen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Red Dwarfs Den FC got a freekick which was hit by Tibaut Imbrechts. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Jos Uyttebroeck put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ferdinand Raedemaeckers. Ferdinand Raedemaeckers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mickael Ackermans, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Ferdinand Raedemaeckers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mickael Ackermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinand Raedemaeckers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vic De Bruyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mickael Ackermans in the 98th minute of play forced Racing Leuven's goalkeeper Ferdinand Raedemaeckers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Red Dwarfs Den FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Racing Leuven had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
