Kenneth Petermans kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Richey Neesens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of VVV Vurige Vossen booed when Boechout was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richey Neesens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Van Geertruyen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth Petermans, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 11 minutes, Romain Van Hoeij mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VVV Vurige Vossen and the Boechout players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Romain Van Hoeij hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joonatan Lembrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Van Geertruyen having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, one of Boechout:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for VVV Vurige Vossen. Yannik Van Der Veecken stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Antonio Van Geertruyen. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yannik Van Der Veecken in the 35th minute of play forced Boechout's goalkeeper Antonio Van Geertruyen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Yannik Van Der Veecken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Antonio Van Geertruyen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Yannik Van Der Veecken managed to get in a good position for a shot. VVV Vurige Vossen's supporters rose to their feet, but Yannik Van Der Veecken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Van Geertruyen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Yannik Van Der Veecken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Boechout players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VVV Vurige Vossen were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Joonatan Lembrechts made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armand Cesters in the 53rd minute of play forced VVV Vurige Vossen's goalkeeper Werner Hoes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 played minutes VVV Vurige Vossen got a freekick which was hit by Floris Verdonk. If Wart Van Balen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yannik Van Der Veecken succeeded in the game's 59th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. Adolphe Van Eijcke kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Werner Hoes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dieter Worteleers, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 76th minute, Armand Cesters made a precise shot to the right of Werner Hoes. VVV Vurige Vossen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Kenneth Petermans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Antonio Van Geertruyen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Van Geertruyen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joonatan Lembrechts's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. VVV Vurige Vossen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
