In the 28th minute, Benedict Van Huele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jerry Dejonckheere was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 29 minutes had been played. With his leg Bartjan Van Daelen managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Dark Energy's Gery Ceustermans fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 34th minute Vic De Bruyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siebe Ketelers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gery Ceustermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Constant Decock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bartjan Van Daelen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gery Ceustermans to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Harald Herremans put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bartjan Van Daelen. Bartjan Van Daelen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Herremans in the 54th minute of the match. Bartjan Van Daelen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gery Ceustermans, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Dark Energy's Aaron Van Herck got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Gery Ceustermans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bartjan Van Daelen was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Mickael Ackermans's late challenge caught a Dark Energy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gery Ceustermans scored 4-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bartjan Van Daelen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Vic De Bruyn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Dwarfs Den FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vic De Bruyn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siebe Ketelers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Dark Energy's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vic De Bruyn fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Red Dwarfs Den FC's zone, Gery Ceustermans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartjan Van Daelen came out of the goal and Gery Ceustermans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute, Mickael Ackermans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bartjan Van Daelen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gery Ceustermans's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Gery Ceustermans struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Bartjan Van Daelen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dark Energy. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Dark Energy had played much better football throughout.
