Spectators: 8003 (Terracing: 6004, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 159) With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luckas Goddez in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Van Geertruyen saved Boechout from getting behind. Adam van haeve hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Willem-Alexander Wilmots recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wevelgem FC's Luckas Goddez got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 21 played minutes Wevelgem FC got a freekick which was hit by Godfried De Neuter. Viktor De Baere made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Wart Van Balen sent off a good shot on target. Jef Rouvoet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antonio Van Geertruyen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willem-Alexander Wilmots in the 28th minute of the match. After 30 minutes of play, Wevelgem FC's Willem-Alexander Wilmots made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonio Van Geertruyen was left in no man's land by his defense there! 43 minutes into the match, Wevelgem FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jef Rouvoet came free, but Viktor De Baere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When Willem-Alexander Wilmots came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Wevelgem FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willem-Alexander Wilmots couldn't finish the play. In the 56th match minute, Boechout was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Tuytgans to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Boechout's Antonio Van Geertruyen got control of the ball when Willem-Alexander Wilmots tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antonio Van Geertruyen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Willem-Alexander Wilmots went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Luk Lanfan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Antonio Van Geertruyen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Willem-Alexander Wilmotss short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Antonio Van Geertruyen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luckas Goddez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Willem-Alexander Wilmots managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wevelgem FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willem-Alexander Wilmots was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luckas Goddez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Van Geertruyen having to make a save. Luckas Goddez scored 0-3 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antonio Van Geertruyen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antonio Van Geertruyen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luckas Goddez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luckas Goddez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Wevelgem FC booed when Boechout was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wart Van Balen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute Luckas Goddez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Van Geertruyen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ron Gyselincx charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ron Gyselincx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Wevelgem FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Ron Gyselincx hit a great ball. Wevelgem FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
