With an all-out effort, Brakkies New Bastards's Matias Dimo threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Robben Kints, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Reijniers in the 10th minute of play forced Sporting Westmeerbeek's goalkeeper Matias Dimo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nico Van Meerbek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Sarangapani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brakkies New Bastards's attack was well implemented in the 42nd minute, but when Kirk Powderham was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacque De Brouwer was the one to do the kick off. When Kirk Powderham fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brakkies New Bastards's protests and gave Kirk Powderham a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sporting Westmeerbeek booed when Brakkies New Bastards was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirk Powderham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brakkies New Bastards's Nico Van Meerbek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Brakkies New Bastards from getting a goal against them. In the 54th minute, Sporting Westmeerbeek's Edward Cranenburgh dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Kirk Powderham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brakkies New Bastards's supporters rose to their feet, but Kirk Powderham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Dimo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Sporting Westmeerbeek's Bart-Jan De Vaddere got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Pieter Degraef was substituted for Jacque De Brouwer. Bart-Jan De Vaddere hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes Brakkies New Bastards got a freekick which was hit by Tomm Van Clijnenbreugel. Alex Sarangapani in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nico Van Meerbek, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Matias Dimo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kirk Powderham, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Alex Sarangapani might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nico Van Meerbek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Sarangapani ran back to his position shaking his head. Gregorie van der Eycken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Brakkies New Bastards lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
