Spectators: 7600 (Terracing: 5750, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfons De Keijser started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Rani Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregory de Reyck to maneuver through the defense. Alfons De Keijser's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Willem-Jan Vandommele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. After 8 minutes, Brian Vincke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rani Boys and the FC Rising Stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Rising Stars booed when Rani Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Vincke didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Rani Boys getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Albertus Winnepenninckx hit a great ball. Albertus Winnepenninckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rani Boys's Gregory de Reyck got a free kick in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertus Winnepenninckx in the 25th minute of play forced FC Rising Stars's goalkeeper Arnold Schaerlaekens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Albertus Winnepenninckx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnold Schaerlaekens. FC Rising Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albertus Winnepenninckx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Claude Pelsmaeker managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Rising Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Claude Pelsmaeker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willem-Jan Vandommele breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfons De Keijser during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Claude Pelsmaeker hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 41 minutes of play, FC Rising Stars's Alfons De Keijser made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Willem-Jan Vandommele was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brian Vincke's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnold Schaerlaekens firmly grabbed it by the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Brian Vincke made the kick off in the second half. Arnold Schaerlaekens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brian Vincke's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute Rani Boys were awarded a corner. Albertus Winnepenninckx went to the cornerflag to take it. Brian Vincke hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Alfons De Keijser got his second yellow card in the match during the 56th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 56th match minute, FC Rising Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons De Keijser to maneuver through the defense. Arnold Schaerlaekens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertus Winnepenninckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albertus Winnepenninckx took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnold Schaerlaekens. Arnold Schaerlaekens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Gregoire Raemakers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willem-Jan Vandommele having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dean Baeten in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Rising Stars's goalkeeper Arnold Schaerlaekens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Rising Stars's Miguel Stoorms got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Arnold Schaerlaekens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Vincke, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Rising Stars's Thomas-Jan De Mijer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Willem-Jan Vandommele. That made the score 3-2 after 86 minutes of play. If Gregoire Raemakers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Merckx hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. FC Rising Stars's Alphonse Quinet couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rani Boys. The Rani Boys players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
