To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, FC LEMUREN's goal looked a bit too open when Luckas Cromefeldt came free, but Wilton Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Marnix Peten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC LEMUREN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marnix Peten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilton Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thys Mangelschot, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The audience was convinced that Mickael Volens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willy Van Linthout was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 41st minute of the match FC LEMUREN got a corner. Bruly's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
