The corner led RSC Sellewie's Evert De Mees to fire away a dangerous shot which Didier Schollens despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 34 minutes, Clemens Siegert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alpina FC and the RSC Sellewie players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alpina FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Didier Schollens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul-Louis Van Craesbeeck in the 36th minute of the match. Üzeyir Tuğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermenegildo Castilho, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Evert De Mees came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the RSC Sellewie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evert De Mees couldn't finish the play. After the first half Alpina FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hermenegildo Castilho to make the kick off. Üzeyir Tuğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfons Van Mellaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Üzeyir Tuğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermenegildo Castilho in the 86th minute of play. RSC Sellewie's Üzeyir Tuğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save RSC Sellewie from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, RSC Sellewie's goalkeeper Üzeyir Tuğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dirk Damman. The RSC Sellewie supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Alpina FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Alpina FC.
