Julius Vanneste came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by MeldertFC's Phillipe Gelens. But to his dismay, Phillipe Gelens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Wes Van der Hoeven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Vanneste having to interfere. If Emanuel Coekelbergh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, MeldertFC's goal looked a bit too open when Joris De Raeve came free, but Eddie Simonsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Limburg United's zone, Phillipe Gelens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julius Vanneste came out of the goal and Phillipe Gelens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Fredrik Terwenhout left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Limburg United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Goran Gardakov came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julius Vanneste could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anios Karaoulanis in the 21st minute of play forced MeldertFC's goalkeeper Eddie Simonsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Goran Gardakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Vanneste having to interfere. Eddie Simonsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fredrik Terwenhout went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Eddie Simonsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brend Vanden Driessche in the 29th minute of the match. Amador Azailla hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Goran Gardakov struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Julius Vanneste didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MeldertFC. Julius Vanneste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phillipe Gelens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante De Fever hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. MeldertFC's Eddie Simonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joris De Raeve in the 42nd minute of play. Mickael den Pelsmaeker charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mickael den Pelsmaeker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Limburg United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mickael den Pelsmaeker to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute, MeldertFC's Goran Gardakov ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julius Vanneste. Julius Vanneste yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Joris De Raeve made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match, Joris De Raeve got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eddie Simonsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Limburg United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
