The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Steven Puttemans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Rossem's Matias Colebrants was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernard Tilemans got free with Connor Osmond in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by SK Mons's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Crispijn Deprez was slow to take the kick. During this time Fc Rossem's players had a chance to rest. Aaron Van Bouschot was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Matias Colebrants took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven Puttemans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Fc Rossem's goal looked a bit too open when Bogumil Czapski came free, but Matias Colebrants reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tibo Cromefeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Osmond having to interfere. Matias Colebrants made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogumil Czapski in the 29th minute of play. Matias Colebrants showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogumil Czapski, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute Lou Cromefeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Connor Osmond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lou Cromefeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 41st minute, Nick Daniels left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SK Mons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lou Cromefeldt was the one to do the kick off. Steven Puttemanss short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Matias Colebrants to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matias Colebrants made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Steven Puttemans sent off a good shot on target. Connor Osmond didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lou Cromefeldt went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Fc Rossem's Matias Colebrants played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trevor Eubank in the 60th minute of play. Matias Colebrants took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogumil Czapski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Fc Rossem's goal looked a bit too open when Bogumil Czapski came free, but Matias Colebrants reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes SK Mons got a freekick which was hit by Luka Van Aken. Tibo Cromefeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
