Henri-Xavier De Maerschalck made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Jonas Van Clijnebreugel sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Maasmechelen Esox Lucius's goalkeeper Henri-Xavier De Maerschalck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jannis Impens. The supporters of BocaJuniors booed when Maasmechelen Esox Lucius was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Portmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Will Koninckx notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of BocaJuniors's Bertan Wouqier. Bertan Wouqier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bertan Wouqier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswald Dams in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, Maasmechelen Esox Lucius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Portmans to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Will Koninckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertan Wouqier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jannis Impens kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Henri-Xavier De Maerschalck. That made the score 1-2 in the 42 minute of play. A collision led to BocaJuniors getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Bobby Pannekoek hit a great ball. After the first half Maasmechelen Esox Lucius were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jannis Impens was the one to do the kick off. Silvain Dhondt hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, Maasmechelen Esox Lucius's goal looked a bit too open when Jannis Impens came free, but Henri-Xavier De Maerschalck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henri-Xavier De Maerschalck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jannis Impens in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Rolf Volders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. BocaJuniors's Bertan Wouqier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willem Olbrechts in the 61st minute of play. Henri-Xavier De Maerschalck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jannis Impens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maasmechelen Esox Lucius's Henri-Xavier De Maerschalck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jannis Impens in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jannis Impens in the 70th minute of play forced Maasmechelen Esox Lucius's goalkeeper Henri-Xavier De Maerschalck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bertan Wouqier came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Maasmechelen Esox Lucius's Will Koninckx. But to his dismay, Will Koninckx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. BocaJuniors's Bertan Wouqier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save BocaJuniors from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casper Vandommele in the 75th minute of play forced Maasmechelen Esox Lucius's goalkeeper Henri-Xavier De Maerschalck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Greg Paaps was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BocaJuniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maasmechelen Esox Lucius the free kick. After 76 played minutes BocaJuniors got a freekick which was hit by Greg Paaps. 77 minutes into the match, Maasmechelen Esox Lucius's Xander De Weijngaerden broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bertan Wouqier made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Oswald Dams sent off a good shot on target. Henri-Xavier De Maerschalck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jannis Impens in the 80th minute of the match. Luke Geldhof succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-4. A collision led to BocaJuniors getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Greg Paaps hit a great ball. Rolf Volders kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Luc Van Parijs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henri-Xavier De Maerschalck having to make a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Maasmechelen Esox Lucius had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
