With an all-out effort, SK Mons's Robrecht Scheppers threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Trevor Eubank, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. zvc fizikboys's Robrecht Scheppers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save zvc fizikboys from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steven Puttemans in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robrecht Scheppers saved zvc fizikboys from getting behind. Frederic Van Houtvin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, one of zvc fizikboys:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Robrecht Scheppers had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Steven Puttemans's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Cornel Ulici hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Jens Postens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Connor Osmond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SK Mons's Connor Osmond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Etienne Dujardin in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trevor Eubank in the 26th minute of play forced zvc fizikboys's goalkeeper Robrecht Scheppers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, zvc fizikboys's goal looked a bit too open when Trevor Eubank came free, but Robrecht Scheppers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, zvc fizikboys's Ludo Tieleman got a free kick in the 41st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Bogumil Czapski managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Mons's supporters rose to their feet, but Bogumil Czapski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robrecht Scheppers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Connor Osmond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens Postens in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Jens Postens made the kick off in the second half. Jens Postens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Osmond having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimeno Acevedo got free with Connor Osmond in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Etienne Dujardin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, zvc fizikboys's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Puttemans came free, but Robrecht Scheppers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yanniek Verhaert hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. SK Mons made a substitution. Leif Olofsson replaced Cornel Ulici. After 62 played minutes SK Mons got a freekick which was hit by Yanniek Verhaert. Alex Mori could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Connor Osmond made a huge save. zvc fizikboys's Jens Postens was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 67th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Müller in the 74th minute of play forced SK Mons's goalkeeper Connor Osmond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Connor Osmond didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 78th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. In the 83rd match minute, zvc fizikboys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erwin Tobbackers to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Diego Müller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Connor Osmond. SK Mons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Müller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When Erwin Tobbackers fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored zvc fizikboys's protests and gave Erwin Tobbackers a yellow card for diving instead. Erwin Tobbackers kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The SK Mons fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. zvc fizikboys were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
