But to his dismay, Steven Puttemans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 10th minute, Cornel Ulici got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The SK Mons fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when SK Mons's Steven Puttemans looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Steven Puttemans sped through Club Brugge's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicolaas Roeckeloes. Nicolaas Roeckeloes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Ulici in the 18th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christoph Van den Berch during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes SK Mons got a freekick which was hit by Christoph Van den Berch. Connor Osmond acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sergio Geldhof. In the 21stth minute of the game Steven Puttemans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Brugge's Nicolaas Roeckeloes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Steven Puttemans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SK Mons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. SK Mons's Trevor Eubank got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 minutes, Steven Puttemans made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Club Brugge's Nicolaas Roeckeloes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the game, Trevor Eubank cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Nicolaas Roeckeloes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicolaas Roeckeloes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Puttemans in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Steven Puttemans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SK Mons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gertjan Daems was the one to do the kick off. Trevor Eubank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolaas Roeckeloes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven Puttemans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Steven Puttemans in the 53rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Nicolaas Roeckeloes kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-11 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 55th minute, Trevor Eubank ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolaas Roeckeloes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. 59 minutes into the match, Steven Puttemans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolaas Roeckeloes. Club Brugge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steven Puttemans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-13. 62 minutes into the match Steven Puttemans climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-14 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Nicolaas Roeckeloes. 65 minutes into the match, Cornel Ulici notched a goal, 0-15, to the right of Club Brugge's Nicolaas Roeckeloes. Nicolaas Roeckeloes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Club Brugge's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Steven Puttemans 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-16. In the 70th minute, Trevor Eubank made a precise shot to the right of Nicolaas Roeckeloes. Club Brugge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-17. After a defensive mix-up in Club Brugge's zone, Cornel Ulici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolaas Roeckeloes came out of the goal and Cornel Ulici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steven Puttemans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Nicolaas Roeckeloes made a huge save. The supporters of SK Mons booed when Club Brugge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Dhollander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steven Puttemans took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicolaas Roeckeloes. Nicolaas Roeckeloes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-18. Nicolaas Roeckeloes stood somewhat misplaced when Steven Puttemans came free in front of goal and shot 0-19 to the left of him in the 86 minute. The SK Mons fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when SK Mons's Steven Puttemans looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-20 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nicolaas Roeckeloes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trevor Eubank in the 94th minute of the match. SK Mons played a much better game than Club Brugge and deserved their victory. The Club Brugge players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
