The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rocky Breugelmans kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Ferdinand Serneels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gertjan Daems in the 11th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, Club Brugge's Gertjan Daems made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferdinand Serneels was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute Sergio Geldhof shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Serneels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinand Serneels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Dhollander in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute Vic Van Caenegem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolaas Roeckeloes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Etienne Anteunis struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Nicolaas Roeckeloes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Original Wonderteam. In the 30th minute, Gertjan Daems made a precise shot to the right of Ferdinand Serneels. The Original Wonderteam's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Gertjan Daems took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferdinand Serneels. Ferdinand Serneels dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The long shot by Godfried Van Der Heijden in the 40th minute really tested Nicolaas Roeckeloes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 42nd minute, William Dhollander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Brugge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 47th minute William Dhollander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Serneels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gertjan Daems to make the kick off. A collision led to The Original Wonderteam getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Yannis Vercalsteren hit a great ball. The Original Wonderteam's Ferdinand Serneels proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save The Original Wonderteam from getting a goal against them. Ferdinand Serneels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gertjan Daems in the 72nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergio Geldhof got free with Ferdinand Serneels in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, The Original Wonderteam's Ferdinand Serneels got control of the ball when Sergio Geldhof tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd play minute Gertjan Daems came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ferdinand Serneels. 1-8. The Original Wonderteam's Ferdinand Serneels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Dhollander in the 87th minute of play. Gertjan Daems could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Serneels made a huge save. William Dhollander received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ferdinand Serneels came out and tried to block the shot, but William Dhollander slotted it home off the left post making it 1-9 in the 90th minute. In the 95th minute Etienne Anteunis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolaas Roeckeloes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Club Brugge left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than The Original Wonderteam.
