The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Chus Avilés managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.C.A's supporters rose to their feet, but Chus Avilés was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joannes Antheunis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cedrik De Muysere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the game, R.C.A's Emiel Spoelberghe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joannes Antheunis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 16 minutes into the game, Serge Tijs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Joannes Antheunis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joannes Antheunis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiel Spoelberghe, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 25th minute Emiel Spoelberghe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joannes Antheunis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jos Laremans's late challenge caught a R.C.A's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jos Laremans helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Jos Laremans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joannes Antheunis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serge Tijs, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Chus Avilés notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of PELT VV's Joannes Antheunis. Joannes Antheunis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 34th minute Serge Tijs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joannes Antheunis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joannes Antheunis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serge Tijs in the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, PELT VV's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Frisco came free, but Joannes Antheunis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Segers hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. PELT VV's Joannes Antheunis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiel Spoelberghe in the 41st minute of play. After 44 played minutes PELT VV got a freekick which was hit by Dante Segers. After the first half R.C.A were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Serge Tijs did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Joannes Antheunis 50 minutes into the match. Raimundo Abalos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serge Tijss short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Joannes Antheunis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serge Tijs in the 64th minute of play forced PELT VV's goalkeeper Joannes Antheunis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jannic De Wilde hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Serge Tijs dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joannes Antheunis, 0-6. After a rather tough play, PELT VV's Jannic De Wilde got a free kick in the 90th minute. Joannes Antheunis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serge Tijs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, PELT VV's goal looked a bit too open when Emiel Spoelberghe came free, but Joannes Antheunis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The PELT VV fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. R.C.A were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
