After a rather tough play, LeRoeulx's Rik Winnepennincks got a free kick in the 17th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Xander Wenderix threw the ball into play from the sideline. Kfc Moerbeke-Waas's Andy Neeskens quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rik Winnepennincks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ladio having to interfere. Douglas Douglas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rik Winnepennincks was the one to do the kick off. During the 50th minute of the match Pascal Van der Willeghem completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pascal Van der Willeghem a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Pascal Van der Willeghem hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 52 played minutes Kfc Moerbeke-Waas got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Douglas. The supporters of LeRoeulx booed when Kfc Moerbeke-Waas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manu Portmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Kfc Moerbeke-Waas's Gabriel Ladio got control of the ball when Rik Winnepennincks tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Andy Neeskens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kfc Moerbeke-Waas's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Neeskens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quillian De Messemaekere breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Quillian De Messemaekere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manu Portmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kfc Moerbeke-Waas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andy Neeskens in the 63rd minute. After 66 minutes of play, Kfc Moerbeke-Waas's Andy Neeskens made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Quillian De Messemaekere was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Rik Winnepennincks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute Douglas Douglas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quillian De Messemaekere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manu Portmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 75 minutes, Rik Winnepennincks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LeRoeulx's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rik Winnepennincks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Ladio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Van Eynde in the 80th minute of the match. LeRoeulx's Quillian De Messemaekere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Douglas in the 83rd minute of play. When Douglas Douglas came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Kfc Moerbeke-Waas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Douglas couldn't finish the play. Quillian De Messemaekere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Neeskens, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Gabriel Ladio was a little too slow when Rik Winnepennincks got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
