After a rather tough play, Rapid Mollem's Patrik De Martelaere got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Guillaume Schepens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Van Den Wijngaert in the 5th minute of play. If Loid Verduyckt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Ingelbert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik De Martelaere, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Rajmond Tijs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guillaume Schepens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Refael De Boeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Joachim Wiggers almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rapid Mollem's Guillaume Schepens did a great save. 25 minutes into the game, Abel Van Den Wijngaert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Guillaume Schepens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guillaume Schepens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Refael De Boeck in the 27th minute of play. Loid Verduyckt kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Abel Van Den Wijngaert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillaume Schepens was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half KV Schoonwater were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Abel Van Den Wijngaert made the kick off in the second half. Abel Van Den Wijngaert really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. After 88 minutes of play, KV Schoonwater's Abel Van Den Wijngaert made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guillaume Schepens was left in no man's land by his defense there! KV Schoonwater's Hugo Gijselinx was substituted for Elias Geraerts. KV Schoonwater's Zhuang Qing Chao was substituted for Refael De Boeck. When Sven-Edvin Viklund fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KV Schoonwater's protests and gave Sven-Edvin Viklund a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rapid Mollem booed when KV Schoonwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Edvin Viklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Van Den Wijngaert in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guillaume Schepens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Rapid Mollem supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KV Schoonwater's performance. The match ended with a win for KV Schoonwater.
