The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes AFC Aquitana got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Tavares. AFC Aquitana's Bernard Fafinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Ramon in the 3rd minute of play. Samuel Roosendael blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernard Fafinski having to make a save. Richard Billberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilles Wuyts in the 9th minute of the match. Bernard Fafinski made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Gust Swiggers sent off a good shot on target. Robbin Lambrecht might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Billberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robbin Lambrecht ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gust Swiggers got free with Bernard Fafinski in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute Zapryan Vasov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Fafinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Xhoris got a corner. AFC Aquitana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Roosendael ran over to the corner to take the kick. Xhoris's Samuel Roosendael was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bernard Fafinski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 30thth minute of the game Joaquin Ramon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Aquitana's Bernard Fafinski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Richard Billberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baybora Okkan in the 32nd minute of play. Gust Swiggers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Bernard Fafinski made a huge save. Baybora Okkan hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Joaquin Ramon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernard Fafinski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. With a little luck, AFC Aquitana's Bernard Fafinski got control of the ball when Samuel Roosendael tried to sneak it across the goal line.
