Harold De Meyer came out of the goal and Cederique Rutgeerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Xavier Algoedt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Breendonk's Xavier Algoedt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Breendonk from getting a goal against them. Matias Hendrickx in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Xavier Algoedt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 21st minute, Thomas-Jan Wuyts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Matias Hendrickx came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Gourgues FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Hendrickx couldn't finish the play. Matias Hendrickx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Xavier Algoedt made a huge save. Matias Hendrickx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Algoedt having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dyllen Van Elsen was the one to do the kick off. Dyllen Van Elsen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Harold De Meyer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kim Imbreghts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas-Jan Wuyts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Xavier Algoedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thomas-Jan Wuyts charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas-Jan Wuyts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Gourgues FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Breendonk's performance. The match ended with a win for Breendonk.
