An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Sharkin in the 8th minute of play forced FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Axell Verduin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Gullegem's Axell Verduin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Sharkin in the 10th minute of play. Gong Ying Zheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waut Du Molin in the 13th minute of the match. FC Gullegem's Matty Bormans was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gong Ying Zheng in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 14 minutes into the game, FC Gullegem's Matty Bormans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gong Ying Zheng made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Axell Verduin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Sharkin in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of VC zoetwater booed when FC Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ion Giurgiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tom Van der Veeken made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Gullegem's Matty Bormans. 37 minutes into the match, VC zoetwater's goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Pilsudski came free, but Gong Ying Zheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 minutes, Bo Bo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VC zoetwater and the FC Gullegem players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th match minute, VC zoetwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Bo to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the game, İbrahim Efe Akarsu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Axell Verduin. İbrahim Efe Akarsu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gusztáv Bács got free with Axell Verduin in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, Barnaba Pilsudski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gong Ying Zheng was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After the first half FC Gullegem were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes into the match, Barnaba Pilsudski notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of VC zoetwater's Gong Ying Zheng. Gong Ying Zheng was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 57th minute Barnaba Pilsudski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gong Ying Zheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Barnaba Pilsudski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Gong Ying Zheng successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gilbert Amsler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute of the match FC Gullegem got a corner. VC zoetwater's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ion Giurgiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. VC zoetwater made a substitution. Fabien Pardons replaced Gusztáv Bács. Jan Persson took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Axell Verduin. Axell Verduin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. FC Gullegem's Axell Verduin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İbrahim Efe Akarsu in the 85th minute of play. FC Gullegem's Cederic De Vadder was substituted for Barnaba Pilsudski. In the 89th minute of the game Tom Van der Veeken made a throw-in which Fabien Pardons played forward. Gertjan De Geyter hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Tom Van der Veeken in the 96th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Gullegem's Matty Bormans. Axell Verduin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Persson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
