Ignacio Quinteros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Alexander Klemensson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jerome Ngake. The goal made the score 2-0. Robbin Dirickx struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Lenny Vorster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Draconia. After 21 minutes, Gilian Gijselinx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Genk and the FC Draconia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gilian Gijselinx hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Lenny Vorster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Quinteros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lenny Vorster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Van der Poorten in the 27th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Genk's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Quinteros came free, but Lenny Vorster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, FC Draconia's goal looked a bit too open when Vergil Rupov came free, but Jerome Ngake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Thomas-Jan Van de Weijer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Draconia's Jerome Ngake did a great save. The supporters of Genk booed when FC Draconia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Quinteros didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ignacio Quinteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ignacio Quinteros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Genk's Lenny Vorster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Quinteros in the 47th minute of play. Amaury Van den Berge hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Suat Kaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Suat Kaya stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robbin Dirickx kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Jerome Ngake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vergil Rupov, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Lenny Vorster made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrian Costandin in the 56th minute. In the 57th match minute, Genk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons Rijniers to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Ignacio Quinteros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Suat Kaya in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Draconia's goalkeeper Jerome Ngake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerome Ngake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Suat Kaya in the 67th minute of the match. Jerome Ngake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Klemensson in the 69th minute of play. Ignacio Quinteros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Lenny Vorster skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Lenny Vorster managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when FC Draconia's Ignacio Quinteros fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lenny Vorster made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Quinteros in the 72nd minute. Jerome Ngake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vergil Rupov in the 75th minute of play. In the 79th minute Suat Kaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Ngake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Quinteros in the 83rd minute of play forced Genk's goalkeeper Lenny Vorster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerome Ngake came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Genk's Alexander Klemensson. But to his dismay, Alexander Klemensson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 92 minutes into the match, FC Draconia's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Klemensson came free, but Jerome Ngake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacio Quinteros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lenny Vorster having to make a save. Jerome Ngake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vergil Rupov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genk were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Draconia for a fine match.
