In the 33rd minute, Joviša Barišić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Selmir Momčilo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 37 minutes into the game, Joviša Barišić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Selmir Momčilo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Selmir Momčilo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joviša Barišić in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Fazil Jusić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fazil Jusić was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Joviša Barišić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The coaching staff of Kvrgici protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Abas Diviković had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 79th minute, one of Kvrgici:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kvrgici. Kvrgici's Esad Gvozdić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Svetkić in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kvrgici's goalkeeper Esad Gvozdić , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dario Svetkić scored 3-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Esad Gvozdić , who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, Stanford University could leave the field as winners, despite Kvrgici having more of the ball for most of the match.
