Nico Teuwen charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nico Teuwen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Koglen's Nico Teuwen got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 6th play minute Nico Teuwen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arend Bahlke. 1-0. After having played for 9 minutes, Pietari Viitanen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Bullos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pietari Viitanen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Koglen's zone, Pietari Viitanen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Randy Zug came out of the goal and Pietari Viitanen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Pietari Viitanen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Pietari Viitanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raphael Dickopf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pietari Viitanen might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Randy Zug. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pietari Viitanen ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 32 minutes, Philipp Theunissen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Bullos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philipp Theunissen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Randy Zug showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Dickopf, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 35 minutes of play, Red Bullos's Philipp Theunissen made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Randy Zug was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sebastian Zillen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arend Bahlke having to interfere. Philipp Theunissen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Randy Zug having to make a save. Randy Zug took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Dickopf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Raphael Dickopf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randy Zug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Koglen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Czeslaw Prosowski was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Bullos's players had a chance to rest. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raphael Dickopf made a kick off. If Philipp Theunissen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Randy Zug made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arne Klefel in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Koglen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pietari Viitanen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Raphael Dickopf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Koglen's Daniel Dorneth got a free kick in the 60th minute. Peter Pötscher hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Arne Klefel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philipp Theunissen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Raphael Dickopf came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Red Bullos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael Dickopf couldn't finish the play. Philipp Theunissen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 minutes of play Koglen's Nico Teuwen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 75th minute, Nico Teuwen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arne Klefel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philipp Theunissen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Koglen got a freekick which was hit by Henk Katzer. Pietari Viitanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Philipp Theunissen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pietari Viitanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Randy Zug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Red Bullos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
