The audience thought a goal was coming when Michael Scherz got free with Jochen Klöck in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reinhold Engberts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jochen Klöck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinhold Engberts in the 31st minute of the match. Reinhold Engberts might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jochen Klöck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reinhold Engberts ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Vogt in the 46th minute of play forced ASKÖ Neutal's goalkeeper Martin Zeidler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Björn Vogt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Martin Zeidler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reinhold Engberts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jochen Klöck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The TRABZON F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when TRABZON F.C.'s Björn Vogt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Michael Netthöfel's late challenge caught a ASKÖ Neutal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Netthöfel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ASKÖ Neutal booed when TRABZON F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Netthöfel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralph Geiblinger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute.
