The referee ignored Sharks FC's protests and gave Fabian Borowski a yellow card for diving instead. Los Mapuches FC's Frank Singer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 65th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Till-Julius Pietta but with some difficulty. In the 67th minute, Ralf Grabowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sharks FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Timo Hirt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Mapuches FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
