After a defensive mix-up in Edelseeberg's zone, Dennis Jansch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ralf Mayer came out of the goal and Dennis Jansch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jost Konermann's late challenge caught a Edelseeberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jost Konermann helped the player get up and apologised. Dennis Jansch was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Fc Wien's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lothar Hensel in the 25th minute of play forced Fc Wien's goalkeeper Rafael Thoma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Michel Körtge sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafael Thoma skillfully saved the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Fc Wien's Dennis Jansch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ralf Mayer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Tim Knebel came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Fc Wien fans jumped to their feet. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tim Knebel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edelseeberg's Ralf Mayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Jansch in the 52nd minute of play. Hans-Hermann Wassermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tim Knebel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans-Hermann Wassermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ralf Mayer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralf Mayer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Jansch in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85thth minute of the game Tim Knebel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edelseeberg's Ralf Mayer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Hans-Hermann Wassermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ralf Mayer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tim Knebel went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Fc Wien manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Edelseeberg to win.
