The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the match, Niclas Schlagbauer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Björn Dziersan. Kobersdorf's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niclas Schlagbauer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Dennis Uhde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Björn Dziersan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Björn Dziersan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Eiterer in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Cruz Grande booed when Kobersdorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Deinert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Björn Dziersan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niclas Schlagbauer in the 23rd minute of the match. Jörg Pfeifenberger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Kobersdorf's Heiko Estler slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thorsten Terstappen. That made the score 1-1 after 27 minutes of play. Thorsten Terstappen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörg Pfeifenberger in the 32nd minute. Cruz Grande's Thorsten Terstappen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiko Estler in the 33rd minute of play. Björn Dziersan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niclas Schlagbauer went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When Niclas Schlagbauer came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Cruz Grande fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niclas Schlagbauer couldn't finish the play. After 46 minutes, Josef Arendt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruz Grande and the Kobersdorf players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cruz Grande's Josef Arendt got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Cruz Grande were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cruz Grande's supporters crossed their fingers, but Björn Eiterer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 65 minutes on the clock, Jannick Nussli commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 65th minute, one of Cruz Grande:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cruz Grande. The supporters of Cruz Grande booed when Kobersdorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Gumpfer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Björn Dziersan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Björn Eiterer in the 72nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kobersdorf's zone, Björn Eiterer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. If Jörg Pfeifenberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thorsten Terstappen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heiko Estler in the 88th minute of the match. A hard shot by Niclas Schlagbauer from long distance, 93 minutes into the match, got Björn Dziersan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ansgar Fricke's late challenge caught a Cruz Grande's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ansgar Fricke helped the player get up and apologised. If Heiko Estler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Kobersdorf supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cruz Grande's performance. The match ended with a win for Cruz Grande.
