The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Urs-Peter Pantel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Leon Bach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steffen Valenti struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Leon Bach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Powerdingen. In the 8th minute, Urs-Peter Pantel made a precise shot to the right of Leon Bach. Reautz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jan Scheffler took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leon Bach. Reautz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Powerdingen's Urs-Peter Pantel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leon Bach made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Peter Arndt scored 1-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julius Walhöfer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Urs-Peter Pantel might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Bach. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Urs-Peter Pantel ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urs-Peter Pantel in the 24th minute of play forced Reautz's goalkeeper Leon Bach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Powerdingen's Michael Busch got a free kick in the 26th minute. Leon Bach didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steffen Valenti went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 33rd match minute, Reautz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Heine to maneuver through the defense. Yannik Orlob was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Urs-Peter Pantel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leon Bach. Reautz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Urs-Peter Pantel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After the first half Powerdingen were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Enno Ziegler kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Aaron Gelink charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Gelink the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th match minute, Reautz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Gelink to maneuver through the defense. Steven Böhm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Walhöfer having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Powerdingen's Steffen Valenti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Reautz's goalkeeper Leon Bach, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Reautz's goalkeeper Leon Bach had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steffen Valenti. Urs-Peter Pantel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Steffen Valenti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Powerdingen's Urs-Peter Pantel got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Steven Böhm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Julius Walhöfer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steffen Valenti was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match was over Powerdingen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Reautz throughout the match.
